DANIELA PIMPONI

Research interests

My research area is the fluid dynamics and mobility of microswimmers and particles, with particular attention to the interactions with different kind of surfaces. The principal aim is to evaluate the possibility to obtain trajectory passive control via surface patterning. The research activity is performed through a numerical code ("BeSwimmer") developed by me during my PhD.
A new research area is about bubble transport in turbulent flows. The numerical (VoF) simulations are performed by means of the Basilisk library (http://basilisk.fr/).
