Research interests

My research activity concerns the heterogeneous nucleation of vapour bubbles which is at the origin of cavitation. The topics of my research activity include: continuum models able to describe the effective nucleation rate from actual surfaces; calculations of the free energy profiles and nucleation barriers for surface defects with complex geometry and chemistry.
